JAH-Smart

Ms. amy beardsworth

I graduated from UCONN in 2006 with my Bachelors in Elementary Education and then in 2007 earned my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction, also from UCONN and am now the school leader for the Middle School.

I am very excited about the changes at Jumoke Academy this year.  I work with a great staff at JAH-SMaRT and know that with the transformation that Jumoke is undergoing right now, our work will only get better.  The middle school will continue its tradition of helping students perform well both academically and socially.

Traditionally, standardized test scores have shown Jumoke’s middle school students competing with the best of Connecticut’s kids.  The high academic standards will continue to be upheld with an additional focus on helping our children develop a strong sense of self motivation and drive.  Special focus will be given to the forty new students that will be joining the existing student body.  It is our goal to ensure a smooth and well planned out transition into the Jumoke family.
